The project comprises the refurbishment of an existing building providing 2000m² of floor space which was acquired by our client to provide new accommodation. The brief called for an additional 1000m² of floor area which was provided by inserting a mezzanine floor within an existing warehouse area. Through careful re planning and minimal adjustments to the existing the requirements of the brief were met without having to extend the existing building. This resulted in keeping building costs to a minimum as well as making the planning process less complicated and therefore allowing the project to proceed and be completed quickly.
